What to expect

Currently, I am only providing telehealth sessions. For our virtual sessions, you can use any device or computer that has internet access with a microphone and camera. You will need to be in a private and quiet space with a solid internet connection for our session. Sessions with me will typically last for 50-55 minutes. Frequency can be weekly or biweekly. We will determine the frequency of your appointments based on your needs and schedule. Please verify your insurance coverage before scheduling an appointment.

Therapy has both benefits and risks. Risks may include experiencing uncomfortable feelings, such as sadness, guilt, anxiety, anger, frustration, loneliness, or helplessness, because the process of therapy often requires discussing the unpleasant aspects of your life. However, therapy has been shown to have profound benefits for individuals who undertake it. Therapy often leads to a significant reduction in feelings of distress, a significant increase in feelings of peace, greater satisfaction in relationships, higher levels of personal awareness and insight, improved skills for managing stress, and resolutions to specific problems. However, there are no guarantees about what will happen - you get out of it what you put into it. Therapy requires a very active effort on your part. In order for therapy to be successful, you will have to work on things we discuss outside of sessions.

I aim to facilitate your self-growth by helping you identify the core challenges and setbacks in your life, so that you can overcome them with confidence. I specialize in creating personalized plans and providing tools to guide you forward and achieve your desired goals. I do this through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, positive psychology, life coaching tools, mindfulness practices, and a strengths-based approach.
